athena camp
heyy!! haha shall tell u guys more abt the athena camp since 22 of you guys couln't make it..
basically we really had lots of fun!! haha.. all that spoilt the camp was the WET weather n not-so-delicious food.. haha.. the rest was super nice!! or at least for me la.. haha.. since our class was only made up of xingzhou, nengjie, kiameng n i, we joined s6G n formed group 5 (Jiggle!) haha had lots of fun with those guys n girls from s6G!! made lots of new friends including tent-mates genesis n guotong of s68.. super lame n weird combi of ppl frm 6G really made the camp interesting for me! haha..
DAY1: we arrived at pulau ubin after sleeping on the long bus ride n ferry ride.. haha.. placed our bags in the conference room n den moved on to the activities.. day1 was not all that fun compared to the rest of the days cuz the activities were made up of small ones.. basically our 1st station was the monkey-crossing-the-crocodile-infested-river game.. getting every1 across using a rope.. den 2nd activity was to get every1 across a real high wall tt's abt 3 ppl's height.. ended up stepping on ppl's shoulders n thighs n stuff.. haha.. den got giant finger which was to remove 2 car tyres from this slanted pole tt's oso abt 3guys height.. carried liewqi on my shoulders (1st time i carried some1 on my shoulders! haha damn painful but ok la.. haha) got leap of faith (flying trappez-- climbing a pole 2/3storeys high den jump n catch for a bar).. every1 had 2attempts n i caught it the 2nd time!! haha.. somemore i was the 3rd to try cuz every1 else was scared n liewqi n i volunteered to b the 1st few to try.. liewqi din catch it during the 2 attempts (after tt she succeeded aft trying agn).. so i was the 1st girl to catch it!! haha.. i din tremble much lo.. NOT LYK XINGZHOU N NENGJIE.. did some "POLE-DANCING" on top (meaning they trembled so much that the pole shoke lyk hell!!) haha.. den got scandal out of kiameng by suspending him in the air and refusing to let him down unless he tells us the girl of his dream!! haha shan't give him away here.. u guys can ask him urself! haha.. but i tink it's through these activities tt we really got to know each other better.. lyk knowing wahkeat (dno how to spell la) is national gymnast soflying trappez was nothing to him.. ding hong n ricky n kiameng are the ones who have the most strength.. regina is a suprewoman.. haha.. did outdoor cooking for dinner! i prepared food la cuz all the guys wanted to do the fire.. haha our potatoes n sausages were very nice cuz we put a lot of pepper n salt! haha.. den played animal farm in the conference room.. "meowed" ard blindfolded to find our grpmates.. tho we din win.. we certainly had a great time.. =) we ended the day having supper den returning to our stuffy n squeezy tents.. didn't get a good slp cuz there wasn't much (or shld i say any) space to adjust our slping posture.. haha never mind at least we got some rest.. enuf to prepare us for tmr..
DAY2: an exciting day! haha.. we did rockclimbing n absailing (eh dno how to spell oso)! haha heavy rain came n we had to delay.. but luckily the rain stopped! haha.. due to my high speed of wearing the harness n equipment.. i ended up being the FIRST PERSON to do absailing! gosh! btw absailing is to lower urself down from this 5storey HIGH place.. just lyk how to come down after rockclimbing la.. 1st half got platform for u to place ur legs against den the next half got nth so just daggle in the air lo.. pls la the scariest part was to climb the spiral staircase up! so scary cuz it's freaking high n i'm all alone since i'm 1st up n the rest are still on ground wearing their stuff.. had briefing on what to do den had to start.. ok the next scariest thing was taking the 1st step off the platform.. SO HIGH LA! i just heck care n tried.. surprisingly i wasn't tt scared alr.. the platform was so slippery due to the previous rain tt my legs kept slipping off.. haha anyway i just completed it lo!! haha the guys were damn impressed oso cuz i was the 1st to do it mah.. haha so proud of myself.. heehee ego. but cuz i used up so much of my arm strength hanging on for my dear life n lowering myself down.. i din have much energy left to do rockclimbing.. haha so i onli completed half the rock wall.. the only thing i thot i din do well at the camp.. next we had rafting.. built raft with barrels n poles n ropes.. ricky koped another grp's ideas n so we thot our raft was fool-proof.. but when our raft got into the water.. everything came off esp the barrels.. couldn't set sail! arh! nevermind we had lots of fun trying to rescue it n juz swimming in the water. haha den we proceeded to jetty jump! jump off from this high platform abt 3storeys high into the sea! nice! water was warm but obviously we gulped down mouthful of salty seawater! haha.. floated on the sea with our life jackets on! did some formations in the water with every1 holding hands! haha.. it's through this that we knew who couldn't swim! haha! some ppl had to 'rescue' them by pulling them on shore aft they jumped into the sea.. haha. bathed, had dinner, then came CAMPFIRE! haha our grp did the "bah-chor-mee man" skit! super funny with ricky voice-over! sang "shou3 qian1 shou3" with tiancheng leading.. haha had supper den it was time to slp.. the tents were flooded by 2 rounds of heavy rain n so we couldn't sleep in tents.. had to camp at the kebana (a hut).. dinghong being gentlemanly spread out his sleeping bag for the girls to slp on top since the kebana was very sandy.. some guys sneaked into the out-of-bound conference room but obviously it was so freezing cold in tt air-conditioned rm tt they came out after 2 hrs.. pls la.. i couldn't tahan slping in the kebana alr1 it's really VERYVERYVERY cold.. cold until can't sleep la! woke up agn n agn trying to keep myself warm but to no avail.. din have any sweater or long pants! only had 1 pe shirt to cover my legs n tt's all.. that was the most torturous night i've been through.
DAY3: morning exercise comprised of mass dance "wild wild west".. being in M.A.D had me going in front demo the dance in front of EVERYONE! gosh shaking my butt in front of every1! super malu! but cuz i partnered dinghong so no choice since he's council dance i/c.. had breakfast then aft tt, only one activity.. GRAND FINALE! TEAM CHALLENGE PYRAMID! enjoyed this the most! my grp comprised of xingzhou, cherng you (cherng chu's twin!), me, nengjie n kiameng.. it's this super high structure with many different obstacles.. crossing cable with a cable to hold on to, crossing a cables with swinging ropes to hold on to, crossing a wooden beam with NOTHING to hold on to, crossing rope net horizontally, crossing a wooden ladder (jacob's ladder) with NOTHING to hold on to, rock wall, step of faith (had to step over this distance dno how many storeys above the ground!), vertical net rope den the FINALE--- flying fox! super high! think abt 6/7 storeys! but supre nice when we got down!! WHEE I CAN FLY! haha.. after that we dismantled our tents, had lunch, debriefed, took fac photo n HOME SWEET HOME!
really enjoyed myself throughout the camp! made lots of new friends n put myself to the challenges.. gained lots of exposure n self-confidence.. tink i'm no longer tt afraid of heights le! heehee.. it's a pity u guys din go cuz i really tink u guys missed out a lot.. could have bonded the class more too.. but never mind! our class alr very bonded! haha.. wah my entry so long so i better end here! =)

ok. yah. so aft the photo taking session it was back to the waters again! ohoh! be4 dat. we tried plaeing some volleyball. but the sand was so damn hot! and furthermore we were too packed wif muscles dat everytime we whacked the volleyball it flew out of the court. haiz... we are juz too strong. anw. yah.. so it was not long be4 we went back to the waters again and dis time... we plaed monkey and captains ball! fun fun. so much fun. but well... heaven wasnt dat kind and the weather had to change for the worse... dark clouds started to form above us and soon we were all retreating to the toilets to wash up and go for lunch. haiz. but nvm.. all good things hav to come to an end... so that more good things will come! yea! and thats wat exactly happened! during lunch, DANNY was planning wat we should do nxt. he lked and lked around the map and finally decided dat we should go watch some animal show called "Animal Encounters" or sumtink lyk dat. so off we went. we arrived. the place was empty! we were wondering where the animals were... were we gonna be the only audience? well. luckily as the time of the show approached, crowds of ppl started to swarm in and we quikly took our seats. so yah. de show began. not bad lah. funny hosts. but where were the animals!? there were only monkeys! or more specifically, Pig-tailed Macacques. A species quite similar to the baboons juz dat dey hav got smaller red asses which for the females swell to 2-3 times the normal size during mating season. how big will dat be? haha. yah. anw. dey got the "pig-tail" part of their name mainly becos their tails lk lyk those of pigs lah... okok. yah... so when we tot we could enjoy the show... de rain started again! wat the... so we left the place and decided to sit the beach tram until the rain stopped. so round and round it went... for about 3 rnds? be4 the rain finally stopped. and we decided to go for... The Skyride and Luge! mymy... how much more fun could we ask for!? furthermore we got the rides for a discounted price of $5! thanx to that very nice lady at the counter. so it was so much fun dat we had to go for a second rnd... oso for a discounted price of $5! hahahha. yah.. de view from the skyride was damn beautiful... de gurl was damn beautiful too... okok. erhem. back to the main topic. yah. but careful of ur slippers while on the skyride tho. it might juz slip off and u can sae byebye to them. hahha. yah.. so aft the peaceful and calming skyride came the fast and thrilling luge! in case some of u all r wondering wat the luge is.. well. its actually sumtink lyk a go kart. juz dat there is no engine. basically u juz sit on it. and start swerving side to side to gain momentum and down the slope u goooooooo! ok. mayb my description not very gd. so heres a pic for u all to see. the luge yah. so now u noe wat a luge is? hahha. okok. the luge was really fun! we tried to line ourselves so that we could hav a race but sum idiots behind us started scolding and rushing us to move. basket. let us race oso cannot. hahaha. but anw... no prob! we still raced! we raced alllll the waaaay! started banging here and there. and omos slipped off the track. and so the champion was... DANNY! he was the champion for both rounds. and he decided to giv up his studies to take up full time luging. all the best! hahahhaa. okok. juz jking. yah. so it was real fun. aft this we juz slacked around outside coffee bean be4 we finally made our way back to mainland singapore. de gurls went back. so we guys.. went to eat more! man... nutting beats the cheapness and tastiness of hawker centre food. de dessert was nice! de prawn noodles was nice! de hokkien mee was nice! EVERYTHING WAS NICE! yumyum. yah and so... dats how the whole outing went lah... real fun real happiness real enjoyment. lets hav more! oh yah.. isnt there one on 6/6/06? hahahah! class oso got bdae... nv hear be4... but anw... can hav fun can liao lah! gogogo! yah... so dats bout it lah... be4 i go. huixin asked me to blog sumtink bout her being a DA DA DA meinu. yah... so heres a pic of 66's very own DADADA MEINU! ok lah... in order to appease dear mrs loke i have no choice but to wait a sec. wheres waikuan!? how can u slack at home!? erm... wat bout biqing? hehehe. -jaryll =)20060604
Sentosa Outing!!
woah. its been awhile since i actually posted something on our classblog. so this post shall be a LOOONG and nice one!
ok. actually dis post is suppose to be on the sentosa outing that we had on thurs. but todae is sundae! sorry for the delay yea. cos i cldnt get hold of the new password. so to those out there who do not noe wat our new password is... it is... ... ... aiyah. of cos cant sae here. ask zy, hx or me for the new password if u want it. okok. so now lets go on to our class outing at palawan beach sentosa!
well. we were suppose to meet at harbourfront mrt at 10am but as usual... some ppl were late and so we waited and waited till bout 1040? yah. around there. but hu cares whether some of us are late or wat... wat matters most is that those hu came came! hahaha. de gurls seem shocked at the attendance... why leh? i oso dunno... Its a class outing! of cos most of us will turn up... so we left harbourfront mrt for sentosa on the shuttle bus and paid a $3 admission fee to proceed further into the island and to palawan beach.
the weather was fantastic. we started off searching for a place where we could enjoy ourselves thoroughly and so we found this big empty area where we could plae beach soccer, plae volleyball, has shelter to put our stuffs and best of all. 7-11 was juz round the corner! so yah... we din really noe wat to do at first lah.. kik de soccer ball around... gurls go suntan den go plae in the sea dennnn... dey tried to climb the rocks. and of cos they were stopped by the lifeguard. wat were they tinking? tsk tsk. hahahah. ok den they tried throwing sand at us or mayb even wanted to dunk us in the sea but of cos they failed terribly... oh yah... kia meng came late. but when we saw him. he sure lked slim! nicenice... wat hav u been doing kiam!? hahaha. okok. den initially we guys were quite relunctant to show off our washboard abs. but finally we decided to let all the babes there drool over our well toned bodies (even tho there were not many there) n into the sea we went! okok. yah so spleesh splash sploosh. plae around. aft we went to take a break and then came this lady from this shop(i forgot the name) hu offered to help us take pics and we could print them later at that shop. so... of cos we took pics lah. took a few.. gals tgt. guys tgt. whole class tgt. n finally... we only printed out the pic which matters most... the pic wif all of us!
