YMCA-Youth for Causes Project
FuZion Challenge
We are a group of 4 students from 06s06 of National Junior College. We are taking part in the Citibank-YMCA Youth for Causes project, 2006. This initiative allows youths like us to experience social entrepreneurship, while helping the less fortunate in the society. We are organising a street sale of merchandise to raise funds for our Voluntary Welfare Organisation, The Singapore Action Group of Elders (SAGE). The sales of merchandise will also help us raise funds to cover the cost of our main event, which is a kayak challenge for both youths and elderly.
The objectives of our project are:
1. To raise public awareness on the importance of active aging.
2. Narrow the generation gap in families by providing an opportunity for the young and old to interact and learn from each other.
3. To raise funds for SAGE.
4. Educate the youths on the role that they can play in helping the elders participate in active ageing.
Sale Of Merchandise
-We will be selling specially designed fridge magnets (namecard size) to raise funds and promote public awareness on the importance of active ageing.

we can ask mrsleo to help us book a gardenterrace (with 2 rooms) in alohaloyang or if u all wan costasands den anyone with ntucclub membership can help book too. bt alohaloyang is only 90 pernight(for civilservants) so 3D2N will be $180. if u all wan a bbq den add another $150. if 20 ppl r going tt will be arnd $16.50 per pax. so e more e merrier! then u all will pay less.
